The View from Kendal Castle:

This is a multi image panorama taken from Kendal Castle, Cumbria, looking over the town, with the south-eastern fells of the Lake District visible in the distance.

The final image was slightly cropped and downsampled for web display.
The original image would produce a very detailed print at least up to about 3 or 4 metres in length. (Anybody got a big wall to fill)?

Abbot Hall, Kendal, Cumbria:

This is the fine grade 1 listed Abbot Hall, in Kendal, Cumbria, which was built in 1759 by Colonel George Wilson for use as a private home.
It was almost derelict in the 1950's when a charitable trust was formed, to save the building, and turn it into a gallery, which opened in 1962.
Visit the Abbot Hall web site.
